| 5: After
color is accepted, we usually go directly from color rendering to
wrapping. For larger pieces, if neccessary, we produce a full-scale
layout before production. Sometimes the full-scale is temporarily
installed on site as a double check, or to pre-focus the lighting
for the piece. You can see that the layout underneath the sculpture
in this process photo foreshadows the work. |

The color matrix and tubes are laid over the layout. The tubes
are wrapped and marked and painstakingly hand wrapped, one by one.
The color blend is checked tube by tube, section by section. |

(One of our exhausted workers is shown in this near-completed
stage.) And finally, the overall color and pattern flow is checked.
Twice. And checked again. |
